Your Timepiece Deserves Considered Care
Mechanical calibre service, crown and pusher work, and full-scope restoration — carried out with patience and precision in Overseas Union Garden.
Three Considered Pathways
Each service is tailored to the particular demands of the piece, beginning with a written intake and consultation.
Calibre Service
A structured service for mechanical and automatic calibres. Covers full disassembly, staged ultrasonic cleaning, lubrication, and multi-position regulation over several days.
- Written intake assessment and photographs
- Mainspring and pallet stone evaluation
- Multi-position regulation, observed over days
Crown & Pusher Service
Focused attention on crown, pusher, and winding stem assemblies. Addresses wear, impact damage, or sealing degradation on both standard and chronograph references.
- Crown threading and stem engagement check
- All sealing gaskets renewed during service
- Pressure testing to verify water resistance
Long-Form Restoration
An extended pathway for pieces requiring comprehensive attention — long-stored watches, post-impact cases, or acquisitions without service records. Timelines run 10–16 weeks.
- Full movement service combined with case restoration
- Dial and hands review; correct part sourcing
- Key decisions confirmed in writing with owner
What Guides Our Work
Intake Before Anything
Every piece begins with a written assessment and photographs. Nothing is opened until the owner's concerns and the watch's condition are properly understood.
Correct Lubrication, Correctly Applied
Each contact surface receives the specific lubricant type and quantity its design calls for — not a generic application.
Decisions in Writing
Before any component is replaced or restored, we consult the owner. Key choices are confirmed in writing so there are no surprises.
Multi-Day Regulation
Movements are observed across multiple positions over several days before release — not tested for an hour and returned.
Pressure Tested Sealing
Water resistance verification is standard on relevant work. Gaskets are renewed and the result is tested before the case is closed.
Honest Timelines
We give realistic timeframes at the start. A long-form restoration takes 10–16 weeks because the work genuinely requires that time.
Bring Your Timepiece In for an Assessment
The first step is always a written intake — no obligation, no charge for the initial review. We will explain what we find and what the work would involve.
Questions About Our Services
How do I start a service with Cendana Masa?
Use our contact form or call us to arrange an initial drop-off. We begin with a written intake assessment and photographs of your watch. From there we share our findings and discuss the work before proceeding.
How long does a calibre service typically take?
Most calibre service engagements are completed within 4–6 weeks. The movement is observed over several days after reassembly before we consider the work finished. We will give you a specific estimate at intake.
Can you source original or correct-specification replacement parts?
Where components need renewal, we work to source correctly specified parts. For vintage references this sometimes takes time. We discuss options with you and confirm any sourcing decisions in writing before ordering.
Is water resistance testing included?
Pressure testing is standard on crown and pusher service work and on long-form restoration. If your watch has a water resistance rating worth preserving, we will include appropriate gasket renewal and testing as part of the service.
What does the long-form restoration cover?
It combines a full movement service with case and bracelet attention, gasket renewal, dial and hands review, and where necessary the sourcing of replacement components. The programme typically runs 10 to 16 weeks. All significant decisions are confirmed with you in writing throughout.
Do you work on all watch brands?
We work with a broad range of mechanical and automatic calibres from established Swiss and Japanese manufacturers. If you have a question about a specific reference, please contact us directly — we are happy to advise before you make the trip in.
