Reviews from Watch Owners

"I brought in a Seiko Grand Sport that hadn't been serviced for eleven years. The intake process was thorough — they photographed everything and documented what I told them about its history. The movement came back running within two seconds a day, and they returned it with a written record of what they found and replaced. It is what a proper watchmaker does."

"Crown and pusher service on a Daytona reference. The crown had become stiff over the years — made winding the watch an annoyance. They identified worn threads and a degraded gasket set. Timeline was about two and a half weeks. The result is noticeably better. If I had one observation, the intake appointment requires some lead time — I waited about a week to get a slot. Worth it though."

"My late father left me his Longines — stored for about fifteen years and completely stopped. I did not know what to expect. Cendana Masa walked me through the full-service process before I even left the watch. Thirteen weeks later it came back running. The team explained every decision along the way. I am genuinely grateful for how they handled it."

Long-Form Restoration — April 2025

"Straightforward calibre service on my ETA 2824 daily wear. They told me at intake that the mainspring showed mild fatigue — would I like it renewed? I said yes. The price was confirmed before they proceeded. Received it back in five weeks running at +4 seconds a day across positions. Honest, precise, good value for what was done."

"I had a vintage Omega that I acquired without service history. The long-form restoration took fourteen weeks — I was kept informed throughout. They sent a message when the movement was disassembled, when they discovered the hairspring needed attention, and when they sourced a period-correct crown. I knew where it was and what was happening the whole time."

"Crown and pusher work on a Speedmaster. I expected a vague turnaround and a receipt with no detail. Instead I got a written intake record on the day, a message when they started the work, and a thorough service document when I collected. The pusher action is now precise again. I have recommended Cendana Masa to three people in my collector circle."

Case Study 01

Vintage Omega Constellation — 28 Years Without Service

Challenge

A 1970s Constellation brought in by a client who had acquired it from his uncle's estate. The watch had not been serviced since at least 1997, was stopped, and the crystal was fogged with internal condensation suggesting a compromised gasket over many years.

Service Applied

Long-Form Restoration. Full movement disassembly and cleaning. The barrel arbor showed significant corrosion and was sourced as a replacement. Crystal replaced. Case and bracelet conservation cleaning. New complete gasket set fitted. Pressure tested. Regulation over nine days.

Outcome

Movement returned to service. Final rate: +5 seconds per day crown up, +3 seconds dial up. Timeline: 15 weeks. The client collected a watch that had not run in decades and now keeps as his daily wear.

"They found corrosion I had no idea about and sourced the part. Every step was explained to me and nothing was added to the scope without my agreement."
Case Study 02

Chronograph Pusher Failure — Daily-Worn Reference

Challenge

A collector's daily chronograph where the start/stop pusher had developed a vague, imprecise action over about three years of regular use. Secondary concern was that the crown had some play — noticeable when winding.

Service Applied

Crown & Pusher Service. Examination confirmed worn pusher mechanism components and a degraded crown tube gasket. Both pushers serviced. Winding stem engagement assessed — within tolerance. Complete gasket set renewed. Pressure tested.

Outcome

Pusher action restored to a clean, precise response. Crown play resolved. Timeline: 18 days. Water resistance verified at original specification. Client noted the crown feel improved noticeably from intake.

"I knew there was a pusher issue. I did not expect them to also pick up on the crown and sort it in the same service."
Case Study 03

Post-Storage Calibre Service — Returning to Daily Use

Challenge

An IWC stored in a drawer for four years, still running but consistently losing 45–50 seconds per day. Owner wanted to return it to regular rotation as a travel piece but was concerned the rate deviation would become a practical problem.

Service Applied

Calibre Service. Movement showed lubricant migration characteristic of four-year storage without winding. Full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, and lubrication. Pallet stones evaluated — within tolerance. Mainspring renewed. Regulated.

Outcome

Final rate across five positions: -2 to +6 seconds per day. Timeline: 5 weeks. The owner received the watch with a full timing record across positions. Now worn regularly as intended.

"The timing data they returned with the watch is something I genuinely did not expect. A proper document, not just an assurance that it was done."
